NY is english teachers in demand at all? also will it be a good career to do while working on eventually being an english professor?
I feel there are more jobs in high school english and feel working in hs english couldn't hurt for experience in teaching. I was thinking while working as a teacher I could work on a phd in english lit and eventually move to college professor job.
My issue is if english teachers are in high demand in high schools in NY or if i may be stuck as a sub for a long time?
