I’m 24 have a degree and a full time job. I make good money but I work in the maritime industry so I’m never home, work crazy hours (no sleep) and work with some of the scummiest people imaginable.
I am going to make it work for now but what career can I change into that would offer me a better work life balance and still keep a decent salary if I don’t have a degree in it?
I have tried every aspect of the maritime industry including desk jobs but I just can’t do it anymore even in the office all the companies work you to the bone for even less pay than at sea. It’s just a super mature industry that isn’t really moving forward.
I really need some solid advice rn on career switches. I have thoroughly explored myself with therapy(never had to do this before or felt this sad) and I definitely need to make a change for my own happiness and mental health.
