Working towards my Associate's in Computer Science, also considering getting my bachelor's in IT. Likelihood of getting a job out the gate?

I've grown up in a very poor, very unhappy environment. My goal to get out of it is to get my Associate's in Computer Science, and if need be my Bachelor's in IT. However I'm in a very unstable living right now so if I don't know if I'll be able to pursue my Bachelor's.

What would simply having my Associate's in CS be worth? How likely would I be to get a job out the gate? What would entry level salary look like?
