A light hearted prank was played on me at work, but I took it personally and I went to my manager about it. She said I reacted the way I did because of the high school I went to and the fact I was around people from similar backgrounds at college, and I basically agreed with her. She said I'm a bit more sensitive to issues like this but it's a good sign this happened because it shows I'm fitting well in the team What can I do going forward to stop her thinking like this and gain her respect that I'm not soft and sensitive?
